Some have reported that Frank Antenori received death threats over the weekend for his anticipated involvement in today's press announcement. We thank Matt Neely, Antenori's campaign manager, for providing the facts that this was not accurate. What Matt did not report, however, is that all of the four candidates, except Randy Graf, had received telephone calls threatening their political futures if they held the press conference as planned. Interestingly, the calls were made with blocked numbers.
One candidate was told over the phone, "You don't know who you're messing with," to which the candidate replied, "Suppose you tell me. Are you the car dealer or the other candidate running in this race?" which question was answered with a click (no pun intended).

Blocked call or not, the phone company, and more importantly, the Police can trace the calls. If a "common" number comes up, it will be relatively easy to identify the culprit(s). Regardless of staus or wealth, anyone who is involved in such a wretched act should be prosecuted.
This is really laughable. Who thought they could intimidate any one of these guys. The three that got the calls are combat veterans. Probably someone down at TAR got tired of making calls for their sorry-*** candidate Huffman and lashed out at the decent candidates in the race.
The only person in this race with no political future is Huffman.
If he looses in the primary after all the outside help he will become “the flashlight that burned out.”
If he wins the primary then Gabby will crush him. After all the hype about who can or cannot win the general Huffman would be proven the fool that his is when he looses.
I would not be surprised to see ‘ol Stevie boy move out of town after the debacle. He can sell under $300,000 worth of homes in 2 years just about anywhere in the country.
I smell BS...
Nice how they conveniently got "phone calls" the weekend before their pathetic press conference.
Yeah right.
When would have been a reasonable time to make the calls? It you want someone to change an action you do it before the action occurs. The press conference was announced late Thursday if I recall.
Please keep your conspiracy theories to yourself or sell it to your liberal friends...
I love it..."you don't know who you are messing with"!!! Oh...and it is nice to see that even some Republicans don't worship the Clicks and the Diamonds.
It's pretty funny to see Huffman defenders on the blogs for the first time ever. They don't really have much to say, but their leader is busy telling people that Howard Dean would vote for any candidate in any election except Huffman. That gets at least one point for creativity. My guess is that the Huffmanians are either Huffman himself or NRCC paid political hacks. The NRCC has now sent out a mailer, done telephone calls, and ran ads touting how great Huffman is. It seems crazy to me that they would involve themselves so much on behalf of such a bad candidate.
